Privacy Policy for LinksLive

LinksLive is a mobile app for real-time golf scoring. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

When you create an account and use LinksLive, we collect:

• Email address — used to create and identify your account, and to verify account ownership
• Name — displayed to other players in shared rounds and tournaments
• Handicap index — entered by you, used to calculate net scores; optional
• Golf scores — strokes and putts per hole, per round, entered by you
• Round and tournament data — course name, date, format, and the names of other players you play with

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or any device identifiers.

Your data is used solely to operate the app:

• Account management — to authenticate you and maintain your account
• Shared rounds and tournaments — to display your scores and standings to players you share a round or tournament with
• Net scoring — to calculate net scores when a handicap is provided
• History — to show your scoring history on your home screen
• Invites — to let another verified user find your account by email and invite you to a round or tournament (see Section 5)

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or analytics. We do not sell your data to anyone.

All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Auth) cloud infrastructure. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except for:

• Google Firebase — our cloud infrastructure provider, which stores and processes data on our behalf
• Other players in your rounds and tournaments — your name and scores are visible to players you share a round or tournament with, by design
• Players who invite you by email — if another user enters your email address to invite you to a round or tournament, and your account is verified, the app confirms a match and shows that user your display name so they can add you. It does not show them your email address, password, scores, or any other account data.

No data is shared with advertisers or data brokers.

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address. We do not receive your Google password or access to any other Google account data.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, handicap, and all score data from our systems.

LinksLive is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete all of your data at any time by deleting your account in Settings.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
